An Explanation is Perhaps Needed

So if you aren't from CA this one probably doesn't make sense (and I'm not even sure how widespread they are within the state)
Trader Joe's is a grocery store chain that my friends and I are rather enamored of and Jamba Juice is a smoothie place =B

Was sorta nervous about posting this one cuz I didn't want to seem insulting - you guys from other states and countries have any cool food places you can't imagine living without?

also, I am thinking of taking a month-long break from comics as I have a bunch of other art projects I want to work on right now and I could use a buffer - but no worries, I'll be back - too many stupid ideas not to be haha

@RoochArffer: actually, I've been to several different Trader Joe's in Pennsylvania, but I've never heard of Jamba Juice xD

I posted this a day earlier on deviantArt and have been hearing much the same about trader joes - I looked at a map on their website of store locations and it appears they are most heavily located on either coast (I possibly should have looked this up before making this comic but oh welllll - I was going off info from one friend and I think the joke still stands well enough)

@NMA: I probably would not have heard of it but I bet it's tasty!

I'm in CA and I like Trader Joe's (especially those gigantic chocolate bars lol) and I've seen Jamba Juice around but I've never gone into one. I should, though; I like smoothies.

I'm from the Bay Area and I understand COMPLETELY. I was horrified when I left the state

We have a Trader Joe's in Massachusetts.
So we're no wasteland. I like their jamba juice too.
...But, seeing from previous comments, you probably already figured that out. OTL

@naname396: thanks!
goodies sounds familiar... like I've seen it on TV or something... no wait, maybe I know it as a brand name. I don't know.
but I don't think I've ever run across a store version in real life

We have one near by us, but we have to drive a couple of hours to get there

Posted @ July 29th, 2013, 7:24 pm

@Kazu-chan: i am not sure a couple hours drive counts as "near." at any given time I don't think I'm farther than a 10 minute drive from a TJ's
